EDIT: I think this topic belongs in the regular MPC 1000 forum. If a mod could move it, I would be very thankful. Thought it was a JJOS issue at first, sorry.

Hi guys,

I'm new here and did a forum search but I didn't find this exact problem.

So here it goes:

I've installed a hard drive into my MPC 1000 (JJOS 2xl - currently in demo mode) and want to access it with my iMac running OSX Yosemite. The drive shows up in the disk utility program, but I cannot perform any tasks to it like repair and such, those options are all greyed out. And the hard drive itself doesn't show up in the finder at all.

Do you have a clue what could cause this?

I cannot access the CF card either.

Is it possible to move files from the CF card to the hard drive without loading them into the RAM? That would be a decent work around.

Thanks for your help

So I can access the cf card when I plug it into a card reader, but not via the MPC. The disk utility program cannot activate it either. Same goes for the hard drive of course. Tried it with regular MPC OS and JJOS, same result.

Is there a solution for this USB problem?

Hey Allan,
thanks for your reply. Yes, I did mount it correctly. The Mac recognizes the MPC but can't activate it. I found out that it works with the included 128MB card which is formatted in FAT16. But not with bigger cards or the hard disk which are FAT32.
