Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

Hi peeps,

I have a problem when using the Q-Link 5 fader to mix in the Part Mixer. When I touch it to mix a part it jumps from the previously set mix position to the physical position of the Q-Link 5 fader.

The way I would expect it to work is the volume wouldn't change until the Q-Link 5 actual fader reaches the point previously set and then it should pick up the movement from there.

Can anyone confirm if there a way of changing this behavior?

I've searched and read the manual on this but couldn't find anything.

Cheers!

There should be an option to change it. Lemme try to find it.

Are you from Chicago? Polo?

Ahh, thanks for the tip. I can't seem to make it work though, I've found the section in the User Guide "Assigning parameters to knobs and sliders" but changing the Q-Link setting from Offset to Replace doesn't seem to change the behavior in the mixer at all.

The fader still jumps around.

I must be missing something here.
