Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hey fellas, I just bought my first MPC 2KXL yesterday and began to play with it just this morning. I was consulting on this issue yesterday with a very well known producer from my hometown and he never came across such an issue although he has gone through plenty of MPCs, including 2KXL. I tried searching this forum for an answer but without success, so here I am posting this new thread.

I power on the MPC, I open the main screen, select an unused sequence, doesn't matter which one, hit the cursor down and it suddenly opens a totally different sequence parameters, tempo goes from 120 BPM to 86.5 BPM instantly, TSIG: from 4/4 to 5/4, S:DRUM1: from OFF to 16B-Device32. Other stuff on the main screen remain the same, as you can see from the photos I am uploading.

Would really appreciate if some of you could help me out with this, since the only temporary solution I found was go to TSIG, hit "Open window", go from 1-1 Bar to 1-2 Bar, switch TSIG manually back to 4/4 and then it's all normal.

Is it somehow possible to prevent this sequence from loading every time I open an unused sequence and hit the cursor down?

I am really thankful if someone has time to answer my question and solve this issue since I don't have a clue how to do it.

MPC 2KXL has 1.12 OS, installed December 2000, I bought it that way. Would installing 1.20 OS solve this issue?

From the main window, press [f2 EDIT]
then press [f4 USER]
On this page set the parameters that you want to be default.

Then every time you start to edit a new sequence these parameter will be default.

btw. Only install os v 1.2 if you have a card device installed that can't use v 1,14
(I'm guessing you haven't as you have 1.12)
Otherwise install v 1.14 as the latest version.
