yeah when you get the mansion on the mountain you can see it there on the shelf... it isn't product placement with the akai brand or anything... but it does look sort of similar to a 2500.

would be great if rockstar actually made a new hardware MPC.

The mixer is fine where it is, very good mixing position. I like having the MPC as the centerpiece... you work most on the MPC, so that makes sense. Record a bass / synth track, move your right hand to the keyboard. Adjust levels / effects, move left hand to the mixer / outboard. It works pretty well to be honest, very practical and everything in reach (except for the turntable / monitor controller as mentioned).

The idea with the desk, and why i say to build it myself, is to have the rack gear more accessible... similar to this:


MPC and probably SP1200 will be in the middle on the desk, mixer will stay on the left side. I'll try to incorporate the master keyboard in the middle "under" the desk, but don't wanna make the desk to high, so not sure about that yet.

Gonna be a work in progress over the next few months / years...

Took off the wheels from all the Ikea "cubes" i had and stacked them on top of each other. For the moments it puts the rack gear at a perfect level. I got an idea from this to build something... If i take the two cubes that hold the rack gear, tilt it like 45 degrees so the gear is facing me... then screw on two big side panels and a table piece on top for the mixer... hmm...


First real comfortable setup in years.

Yeah, have a few of them sitting around at my equipment storage room at work.

Dunno why my image editor put a cross on top of my image, but you get the picture (no pun intended): A crammed, uncomfortable setup. I only have three pieces of gear but they're all a lot of fun to make music with which is the most important thing.

Juno 106, Microkorg XL and MPC 1000. I'm thinking of adding a reverb and/or delay pedal to my Juno. Can anyone recommend any?

I get a ton of mileage out of my RE20 Space Echo pedal which is a modern version of the classic RE201 Space Echo magnetic tape unit. I know it pairs well with the microKorg and my MPC2500 and I imagine it would sound awesome with the Juno. They're really easy to find as well....

yeah i like those pedals... it is stereo in and out as well (or mono if you want) ... i like them but there are some things i wish it could do as well.
