This is the innovation I like to see. I downloaded 9.5 last night and midi hubbed my push v1, mpd232, and linnstrument. I was chopping samples in a quick and dirty fashion and playing acoustic instruments on the linnstrument. The MPD232 was controlling the drum hits and the push was being used for the knobs to control my samples filters. I think i will do the educational trade in deal with ableton because I am having fun making music again.

Have to say i have not used Ren in a while, Ableton 9 been killing it for me. Now with the new update and push 2, game over.

To be honest not sure if i will even bother with Push 2, dont really need it, happy using mouse and laptop

The warping capabilities of the new Simpler are amazing. Can't wait to use the glide mode with warping for some strictly ill stuff with breaks....that's some great new tech, TBH.
^ I did a video on how you can use the new Simpler warping to do cool chord stuff with vocals...sounding pretty good TBH.

That's a serious statement coming from someone like yourself who actually knows what they're talking about!!

Well, 9.5 + Push2 isn't missing much, and that combo has pretty much everything I need.
The new warping thing in Simpler's just ahead of the game.
I'll do a video on the warp + glide soon (and post it here, too) so you know what i'm talking about.
(Simpler is still missing back&forth loop, though, aggggggh!).

Also, Ableton launched Push2 + 9.5 before MPC Touch came out – the unit was in stores on the day the announced it.

Yea I think ableton shocked the music world with their product announcement. 9.5 and push v1 are already awesome. After knowing my way around push and watching everyone's YouTube vids on push v2 I knew I had to get it. I was so close to get an mpc touch then this happened. Looks like I will use my Amazon gift cards on bigwig instead. I wonder what akai and NI are doing in their boardroom today.

nice video there. just a question relating to this can you move the start and end markers once this is down in the arrangement ?
The one thing i wanted to see in this and the Ren is a loop brace that can be locked. (i know in ableton it can be locked when audio is warped but what about within simpler or drumracks ?)
They have it in Traktor and you can lock from 1/32 to 32bar, very quick for scanning through and finding loops.
i'm in agreement this has taken ableton to the next level, amazing stuff. i'll keep my Ren but i don't think i'll
be buying another mpc product. ableton is so close to nailing it for me.
