Bug reports & end-user support for Akai's MPC Software 'controllers' including the new MPC Studio 2, the MPC Touch, MPC Renaissance & original MPC Studio and MPC StudioB lack.
This release seems a bit loose, to put it mildly. The plugins are all over the place, all sorts of old ones recognised as being 'good' in the plug-in manager, even some that are no longer installed, and none of the UAD ones are even listed. Tried a rescan in the plug-in manager which just immediately crashes every time. Also, there are some weird delays when pressing certain buttons within the software. That's just within the first few minutes of using it.

Waiting for 2.0...
Was really hoping for this too . But insert by pass and inserts for group channels is a great addition to my current workflow so some positives in there!
Guess now is the right time to get rid of this piece of ****. [/quote] Lol do you blindfold yourself before you go shopping?? Hahaha. Far from a piece of shit.... Maybe it's you lol
So can anyone speak to the "improved Audio quality and stability"? That's a pretty big promise. Has anyone used it and be able to speak to that specifically?
And you guys just love to complain!! If you hate it so much go get machine. The software can be buggy but over all the experience and workflow is million times better than my 2000.
did they bring back the option to bounce tracks into separate stems or do i still have to mute each track and bounce one by one and better yet did they fix when i bounce a track that has a vst on it and it changes the pitch of the sound which has been happening to me since 1.0 or when the volume of a vst gets raised every time i go to record it. its laughable at this point.
Great new feature that I didn't see advertised - the ability to now load in the pads of a second program onto the blank pads of a first program - in other words a quick way to merge programs. This is great if you have programs that just take one or more banks and you want to quickly combine them with other programs that also take one or more banks. Before there was no quick way to do this. From the manual:
"Merge: Select this to merge the pads of one Program with another. In the Merge Programs window that appears, click the Pads from Program menu to select the “source” Program, and click the Into Program menu to select the “destination” Program where the two will be merged. Check the Start on Next Bank box if you want the source Program’s pad assignments to start in the next completely empty bank in the destination Program (this is helpful if you have already assigned your pads to specific locations of the 4x4 pad grid)."
Loving the continued workflow enhancements, including the shift-click to disable an effect. Swap pads and event time features as well. These seemingly "small" things add up to big productivity gains. To me this is a sweet update.
