Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

What's up folks,
Been a long time since I have been on the forum and I need a little help. I use a 2000xl, iMac (10.6.8) presonus audio box two channel interface and logic 9....I have been bullshitting for a long time and I want a fresh start.
I have a PC laptop that I'm going to use as my "music computer" reason being, if I'm not mistaking, the only program out there that will allow me to drag and drop samples and save to a CF card reader is PC based right?

Is there any way to take all of my samples, programs, sequences from my CF drive and save them onto my iMac? Anyone remember the name of have a link to the PC based program that allows me to save files and create programs in the computer then save to a cf drive? Thanks in advance.

I was a PC user up until 4 years ago when I bought a 2011 Mac Mini. But I still keep the PC in another room for odd jobs like transferring samples to my MPC2000. The sofware you're looking for is MPC Editor and you can find it at http://www.midicase.com/mpceditor/.

You can still back up everything on your Mac. But if you copy anything from the Mac on to a disk for your MPC, you'll have hidden files copied with it which will cause problems when loading to the MPC. But if you copy files from the Mac to the PC, you shouldn't have any problems. My PC is not connected to the internet. So when I download samples, I copy them to an SD card to transfer to my PC.

There is software for the Mac which will remove most of the hidden files. But I haven't used it since it would most likely take the same amount of time for me to just load my samples into the PC where I can either save them straight to MO disk for my MPC or make programs with MPC Editor before transferring to MO disk.
