I'm trying to figure out which mpc to buy. The mpc 1000 has a 100,000 step limit? Is this correct? The mpc 2000 has a 300,000 step limt. Is this something I need to be concerned about. I want to use the mpc (which ever model I get) to play drum beats live and I want to store 10 to 20 songs at a time, each song being 3 to 10 minutes long. Can someone help to give me some perspective on this. Is what I want to do possible with the mpc 1000? or 2000? Thanks!
Every midi command running in the seq is 1 event in 100,000 (1k).
I don't know anyone who has come close to reaching 100,000
even on the 2k/2kxl. It is possible but I think unlikely unless
like you said 10-20 songs all loaded at the same time, each VERY
heavy with midi commands/controlllers and such.
