2 different issues:

1) a friend of mine downloaded the update, however, when trying to open the download zip, he keeps getting an "unexpectedly quit" error message. Therefore, he has not been able to install the update

2) When i open my mpc ren software, the update box appears, however, I am unable to select "download", "ignore", or "remind me later" option. The box is actually frozen and the only option i have is to quit the mpc software. Because of this, I am also unable to load up any tracks at all, or do anything on my mpc ren. This is a serious problem and needs to be addressed! Please help!!!!

I do my editing and song sequencing in Track View (Since it's pointless to bounce my stems in Song View Mode), I notice when I want to record (or punch in) instantaneously over a certain part or sound it will erase that part, but when I playback on that part its still there. It's like it records late. Not sure if this makes any sense.
I hope someone that has the same issue can explain it better

I noticed something strange recording bass notes yesterday. I played a double note then decided i like a single sustained instead. Played in the new part in record mode which erased old pattern and laid new one.. However it kept playing what had been erased. Not sure if this is related to what you describe above but left me baffled for ages.
