No output on mpc 4000

I'm tryin to figure out how come I can't get sounds to play out my mpc 4000. I even tried to sample and the cd plays cause I can hear it out the disk drive head phone sit but not out the headphones or outputs. I tried to restart the mpc with the disk that came with it. Can some one please help me. I did once get sounds out of it now I load the programs and get nothin

You should do a reset in the Global menu first.

1. Load a PROGRAM

2. Assign it to a MULTI

3. Assign the PROGRAM in the MAIN MENU.

I tried what I could process off what you said and still no sound output. No metronome or nothin. I would greatly appreciate some help.

You did a global reset and there was no metronome?

Do you know how to adjust the metronome? There is a menu page for it.

Have you recently moved your 4000? Car trip, re-arrange the studio?

These things are sensitive computers, and moving them (being ruff), can cause the issue your describing.

I know from experience.

I did move my studio so what do I do to fix this issue

In order to access samples in the MPC 4000, you have to create a MULTI (preferably with 128 parts).

Symbolically
MULTI = The block where you live
PROGRAM = The houses on your block
SAMPLEs = The people who live in those houses

You can't access the people without going to the block where they reside.

SOLUTION: FROM THE MAIN SCREEN:

1. Press Multi Mode Button (Multi List will show)
2. Press WINDOW BUTTON/ Create a New Multi Window will pop up
3. Create a Multi Name/ Set Number of Parts to 128
4. Press F6 (DO IT)
6. Return to the MAIN SCREEN
7. Create a program/ assign samples to the program
8. Assign a Program to a Part via the Part Window (under the track name) VERY IMPORTANT STEP!

*organize your data/ workflow by matching your part # to match the track # i.e., track 17, part 17, etc.

You should be able to hear sound generated from the MPC 4000. If not, reach out and we can troubleshoot.
