need some advice in what the bunk i should buy next

i got like 450 usd waiting to be spent to better my music. what the bunk should i get? right now i got an 8chan mixer, a 1200, 2000xl, and my ti g4 comp with midi/audio/usb interface deal....any pointers would be greatly appreciated

Monitors

Good monitors are essential - you need to hear what you're doing. After that you might want to get a compressor. But except for the monitors, don't get anything just because you can. A lot of people (myself included) have added tons of stuff to their setup, only to find it makes them less productive. If you feel like something's missing, by all means get it, but don't let the gear lust get to you.

i made some monitors out of some kenwood car mid speakers...that way i can hear what the music sounds like in a car as I make it!! dont know if it works to my advantage but its my deal...right now leaning towards selling the mixer that i got and getting a digital mixer interface any opinions on which digi mixer?

That's a nice thought, but for real you should get some monitors.....
It will be the best investment you can make right now.

i triple cosign that u need monitors ur mixes will sound like crap w/o em...u have no idea how much static unwanted frequencies etc are in ya mix until u hear em properly on monitors i suggest EVENT TR8s theyre the best bang for the buck and mixes translate well w em

thats even worse...trust me bro...make some beats on reg speakers then go buy monitors and play em back...u gonna hear every mistake and miscalculation u made and its gonna sound horrible then ull realize y u needed the monitors...i had beats i did on reg speakers played back on my monitors and guess what...i had to do them ALL over take our word for it get monitors ull thank us!!!!u dont wanna do all that hard work then hear it and have it sound like crap dats just a waste of time...can i get an AMEN???

another thing ull never get ya mixes sounding anywhere near proffessional unless u get em or got an ear like MADLIB which i highly doubt cuz dat dude from another planet dats word!!!

aight..aight...im almost convinced...lol, naw but what makes monitors the dopeness, i mean are they that more exact? and or do they represent a broader range of how all different sound producing speakers, headphones will react to the mix?

I was gonna say something interesting about flat frequency responses and dynamic range, but now i'm just staring at that avatar....
