No, the first part of my post was for you, the second part was for Dustymaestro. But that said, the advice still stands for you. IMO never hold on to a faulty/buggy product in the hope that the manufacturer will eventually release a fix for it, because sometimes those fixes never materialise and you are left with a faulty product that can no longer be returned.

So yes, if you are still unable to resolve your problem after trying all the potential fixes Akai recommend, I would return it and move on until they announce it is fixed, at which point you could re-purchase, probably for a lower retail price (MPCs tend to drop in price a few months after initial release).

I got it for cheap, I still have some time to return it. Its not unworkable, Ive made a few tracks already. Its going to be hard for me to access the rest of my gear for awhile, I need this in the meantime. I also happen to like it.

To make it clear, I think what happened to the stuck screen shot on the Touch was because of those known issues with the DisplayLink drivers. It says that there might be some missing features and you might get locked out. Although it does work in mirror display mode.

Honestly there are some features on here now that are worth the price of it.

Which features are worth it?

It's fast and automatic. Explode, Xy effects, the touch screen, midi controller for Ableton, custom pad perform, the form factor, loads other mpc files, the looper, custom pad color, instant mutes. There is a lot for me. I could probably list a few more pluses.

I returned my MPC Touch for the Push 2.

I sold the Push 1 said meh to the Push 2 and bought an MPC.
