I can't listen to my mpc connecting the headphones to it!

Hi, I can only listen to my mpc in my computer when i select the built in output in the mpc software preferences. When i try to listen directly from the mpc i get no sounds at all, and i change the input and output settings in the mpc software to mpc renaissance.

What should i do?!
