its very easy to change the backlight, and there always people selling them on ebay.

i spent more time taking my S1000 out of the rack than i did changing the backlight.

you just need to unplug the old one and plug in the new one.

i'm not sure about the S3000 but on the S1000 you just need to take off the faceplate and top cover.

even if you can't solder, and for some reason your replacement backlight has the wrong connectors, fear not! you can buy screw down terminal connectors at every hardware store on the planet.

soldering is something every boy has to learn before he becomes a man, perhaps now is a good time to learn. spend an hour watching tutorials on youtube and your sorted.

90% of broken electrical equipment just needs a component changed or resoldered.

yeah, i spent my years smoking pot and skateboarding. electrical shit i know nothing about... and being a 38 yo man, now would be a good time to learn
