Can I program track mute events?

Hi there,

is it possible to programmatically mute a track in JJOS2XL on the MPC1000? For example, just like it's possible to send MIDI events in a track, can I also send a "mute event" to the MPC itself? So that e.g. track 1 gets muted automatically?

Thanks, didn't know this function. But this seems like a "global" thing - at least I cannot find that event somewhere - I would prefer to have this track mute event just like any other MIDI event inside a track, so that I can mute this track as well, which would lead in the other track not being muted. Is that possible somehow?

You can record invidual mutes from Trackmute sceen, Step editor or with other midi controller from any screen, if programmed. I'm not sure what you ask.

Okay I didn't notice that the track mute event is recorded as an actual event in the track. Which is a cool thing - but it's recorded in the track that gets muted. What I would like to have is the following: being able to program a "MUTE TRACK 3" event on track 4, for example. So that if track 4 is playing, at some point during the sequence, track 3 gets muted. If I mute track 4 manually, the event won't occur, so track 3 will remain unmuted (or muted, depending on its previous state).

I tried to move the event or change the event, but it seems to be only possible to have a track mute event in the track that shall get muted.
