Trigger patterns from track with JJOS

Hey guys, let's say I have a pattern. Can I force a track to play it back? I know i can assign my pattern to any pad but this is not really what I'm looking for. I want to have a track that triggers my pattern to play.

Why?

So let's say I have 10 different sequences with the same pattern. If I decide to change something then I have to copy and paste the new track in all of my seqs. It would be much easier to just override that one specific pattern that plays back everywhere.

Is it possible?

Yeah I know about pattern track feature. Unfortunately pattern track is a global track that not depends on any invidual tracks and sequences. Once you set it up it plays the same stuff everywhere. I think its rather just an editor tool to convert patterns to track.

However the function itself would be nice if we could have an option to change a track to pattern track like we have now Drum/Midi/Arp/Audio.

I'm not sure what you mean? You want to assign the pattern to many tracks at once. Or make it easier to over write your sequence with new patterns multiple times?
You can copy the new pattern into a track and then copy over old tracks, Or use pattern write and use record and not over dub so it over writes the old tracks with a new pattern. You can use the pattern write feature which is a bit like song mode, in that it arranges patterns into a track and writes it.
