Hi everybody,

I'm new in the MPC community and pretty much a newbie in making music on PC. I own a MPC Ren with the latest updates and would like to know if it's possible to wire in a MIDI Keyboard (the Nektar LX 49) to play and record VST plugins sound via the MPC software (as keygroup program if I'm right) ?

Can somebody help me or set me on the good path ?

Best regards,

Pramil

Shouldn't be a problem. Connect the keyboard via USB to the Renaissance. Turn on the keyboard, then turn on the Ren and the software. Go to Preferences > MIDI and make sure your keyboard is being recognized (check the corresponding box).
Also, make sure to go to Preferences > Plugins and scan for your plugins.
Create a plugin track, select your desired plugin and you should be ready to play.
There are some videos on Youtube by the way, should you have problems...

Hello Pramil.
The Ren will work with any Keyboard that your computer recognizes, and you would not set it up as a keygroup to use VSTs but simply pull up a VST inside of the Ren and control it with your keyboard.
