Ok, so im samplin off of vinyl, but I need a piece of equipment that will allow me to turn down/get rid of certain sounds in order to keep other sounds to use. I guess this would be a filter. But I dont know exactly if it's called a filter or not. And what is something good that ya'll have found helpful. Thanks.

filter or eq. an eq would be better. i would find a free audio editor for the pc. the mpc does not have an eq, and the filter is only a low pass.

parametric EQ to get rid of certain freq. my 3k only has low pass filter but a high pass one would be nice too
