Wha's up everybody? Everything best in Year 2016!

Yes, guys, I know there must have been dozens and dozens of questions about the stereo sampling in Ensoniq EPS 16+ and I'm aware that there is no way to switch it to stereo L&R sampling whatsoever.

My question is different:

Are there any external boxes, devices or equpiment which are capable of switching between left and right channels/left and right mono jacks?

I'll try to set it as clear as I can:

numark ttx L&R (rca) ----> vestax dj mixer L&R (ts 1/4)----> THE DEVICE: SWITCH L OR R (ts 1/4) ----> EPS 16+

Hope you got it :-D

Basically: can you connect two ts 1/4 cables or two rca cables (doesn't really matter, does it?) to a box/device of some sort which has an audio routing switch, so you can choose between mono L or mono R?

The biggest pain in the a*s is the must of reconnecting cables in order to get the L or R signal I want from a particular record.

Cheers!

maybe i'm not understanding what you want to do...but using a Y-cable (such as a send return cable) and the pan pot on your mixer will do what you want, won't it?

...pan left and send mono to the EPS, pan right and send mono to the EPS

Thanks Terry! D*mn, to be honest, I didn't think about this option at all!

But I'm afraid it won't work in the case of my mixer: I got the old and simple Dj mixer: Vestax PMC 03a.

As far as I know you can only change between two sources of input signal (i.e. turntables) using the cross-fader (or by manipulating both of the up-down volume faders).

Here's the photo of the back side of a mixer which is almost identical to mine:

Oh, but wait! There is a knob on the left side of the mixer between MIC LEVEL and MAIN GAIN: MASTER BALANCE. Well, I'll get the Y-cable and try it.

Cheers!

Do you need two turntables?
If not, route the left and right from the TT to channel one left and channel two left. Output left to the Ensoniq and use the crossfader to switch.

Just a crazy idea

not that crazy actually, this is what i was going to suggest.
plug the left out into the left in of channel 1
plug the right out into the left in of channel 2
use the left out of the mixer to yer eps.
