MPC 4000 with OSX 10.11

Hi, looking at getting a 4000 (still need to find one in the uk) and want to know about how easy it is to use it with a new Mac.

How does sample transfer work without aksys? Does the drive show up over usb as class compliant?

Also, my sound card has a digital 8-in, does the s/pdif on the 4000 output a stereo mix or the full 8 channel output? I know you can get the adat card, but I mean just the standard s/pdif.

S/P diff only transfers 2 channels of (main) audio output
in AKSys (windows XP) the drive shows as class compliant

Aksys only works up to 10.6.8, you can transfer samples from your main computer to a thumb drive or whatever, then plug that into the front usb port.

It doesn't work that great with 10.6.8.

Im planning to use Windows Parallel or Bootcamp with El Capitan.
