I never mentioned plug ins, and I run the mpc software standalone when I make beats, so no. Now I'm not getting you, And all mpcs were intended to record midi data, not multiple audio track recording.

Got to go with the Inspectah on this one. The Looper feature pretty much functions as basic, limited audio track functionality. You can trim it, fade it or even chop it, after the fact. I just assume focus on working within the constraints of the MPC's strengths, then drop the whole thing into a far more capable DAW for flexibility w/ live audio.

I mean, They're tools. i wouldn't try to create a detailed illustration with an airbrush.

I understand your urge to streamline the process, and cut back on any down-time that might cool the creative broth, but a shoehorned-in, basic audio tracking function will leave you with just that; a basic audio track. And is that what anyone really wants?

Anyway, one second you're using past examples as justification, then you're saying that the software MPC should have them, in spite of Akai's past lackluster track record w/ audio tracks.

Why are you so determined that everyone agree with you? You want 'em... As do others. Some don't. I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

My music is based around manipulating samples,damn right I need as many ways to chop as I possibly can my man. Another way to record???? The mpc records exactly how its supposed to, and the only ways its supposed to and the only ways its capable of which is by recording midi data into the sequencer and by recording audio into the sampler editor. When you say record another way I assume you are talking about recording live sound onto an audio track. If I want to record sound and not midi data I just use pro tools, studio one, logic, etc.... Its the same thing vice versa other way around. I can sequence midi in logic or protools but why would I when the MPC is WAY MORE CAPABLE when it comes to midi sequencing. It's not a big deal to me, Im just telling you why it probably isn't on there to do list and i would be surprised if it was.

Me and a lot of other people have keyboards, and sound modules. Audio tracks would make life much easier for us. The Ren has a built in audio interface but the software doesn't have audio tracks. It makes no since

What exactly are you trying to do? Whats yours setup? What are you working with? What exactly is the road block you're having? Give me an example of what you're going to do if the mpc sw had audio tracks

Tell me what your trying to do and maybe I'll understand the significance of such a feature
