but me and my producing crew also happen to be taggers anyway one day we were tagging a wall and my crew came up with a sick design. then we all thought we could put it on all of our mpc's but we wouldn't know what kind of paint to use. reply if you have an answer. Stop laughing at me

Personally, thats corny to me. I'm a writer too (and have been since the late 80's)... and i think thats corny.

But NO OFFENSE, for real... it's just personal opinion.... to each their own, right? Do the d*mn thing!

I've heard automobile touch-up paint adheres to the MPC best.

THe best paint to use is airbrush, with the gloss finish paint. More control and airbrush lasts. I think Forat uses an airbrush and glossy paint then covers it with a clear coat of spray varnish to protect it.

I personally love the industrial, spartanic look of the MPC2k and older AKAI gear. Still think the S6000 is the best looking sampler...ever. Personally I think it's a bit tacky to paint it.

I love the look of my 60 so much that I have a pick of it on my desktop!

I wouldn't touch it. I give a friend of mine shit for putting an rjd2 sticker on his eps.

Personal opinoins differ as much as the music we make. If you wanna piece-up your gear, go for it, graff has been part of hip hop longer than sampling. It'll also help you identify your shit if someone tries to walk away with it sometime.

car paint is good. i used to mod technics 1200's for people with metallic car paint. its thick and durable.

a matt finish is prefered, i really REALLY dislike all those ugly Forat efforts.

those stencils are lame too.

i'll give you a heads up soon. i submitted a few mods of mine into a global New Media artist exhibition that is all about the crossover of electronic art forms and traditional art... stenicls meet 3d, music gear meets graf, etc etc.

and in any case, i like to mod my gear. personalises it and it would be DAMN hard to sell any of my stuff if stolen, not just cause my profile, but the mods and security coding of my gear is very traceable.
