MPC 2.0 Questions you want answered?

Yo fam, I had a dope video with Dan today...only to get back to my hotel and find out it's jacked up lol.

So, I'm going back to harass Dan again.

I will say, the new mpc 2.0 is SICK...the interface looks dope (blue, black, grey) will have realtime timestretching, the audio tracks are true audio tracks, meaning, no midi note to trigger etc.

They have a dope "looper" program almost like ableton clips...I may even post the audio of what I got today and still go back tomorrow lol.

Yeah, it was an early alpha but there is a view where you can see multiple tracks like a traditional daw. Not just the single track view.

Can we set the bpm for a sample and have it automatically time stretch to sync to tempo?

Is the MPC Touch the final controller they have planned for the MPC software?

Will we see a hardware mpc in the next 5 years?

Do they plan to make templates for different DAWS so that we can use the Touch/Ren as a midi controller without having to manually program the midi/CC messages

I mainly talked to him about the 2.0 software.

Are they planning any groove templates a/la Ableton where you can demo swing settings with a metronome? That would be killer.

Also, might as well give it a shot in asking about a new flagship MPC. Seems like if 2.0 is still a ways off, there's a chance it could debut with the Ren 2.

Nice service Joe Three questions:

1. Since with audio tracks we can produce complete tracks within MPC software now, delay/latency compensation for plugins may be a big point. Does MPC software 2.0 support some kind of compensation? If not, is it planned?

2. Is there some rough release date for 2.0? Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4?

3. Now there is the new Touch and a new Studio. Do they have plans for a successor for Ren? Or what are their plans for MPC Flagship products?

Writing them all down, I will say, after talking to him myself today I'm sure some of these questions will not get answered directly...which is to be expected

Will my pad events on the grid edit be the same color as the color of the pad I'm using? If so, does this reflect on the software and the Touch Screen?

Can we automate real time pitch shift and real time time stretch?

Can we upload a .gif or .jpeg to customize the background on the MPC touch touchscreen? Basically set our own background with possible menu transparency options

Can we nudge notes by finer increments than 4 ppqn in 960ppqn mode? it be nice to nudge by 1 ppqn increment or have some option for it

In 2.0 Will we be able to bring up the ERASE menu on the mpc touch while the sequence is playing?

Are they planning on changing the colors of the Touch's GUI to go along with the new look of 2.0?

Will we be able to program our own custom chords in Pad perform mode? If not is that a possibility?

What is Q-Link Edit mode about? currently says coming soon

Will we be able to save color templates for our pads/programs? so we dont need to set up our colors a certain way every time we make a new program

Will 2.0 come with any new synths, expansions, or plug ins?

Are they planning to add a search bar for the browser or update the way we can sort our files better?

Can we realtime audio stretch in the audio tracks? or put warp markers on audio in audio tracks?

In 2.0, on the Main window in the Mpc touch, will we be able to select what mode buttons we want to appear as shortcuts in the left display column? Currently it is fixed to home screen(main window), grid view, track view, step sequencer, and xy fx. I would rather have other modes displayed here such as program edit instead of xy fx, or sample edit instead of step sequencer or whatever

For touch and studio...Will we have the option to pick whether q-links cycle by column, and option to cycle by row?

What's up SJ, Thanx for your time, here is my question:
Are we going to get a maschine style pad copy that makes even knoqsquared change ship (LOL)?
And, are there going to be MIDI mapping or MIDI learning features to use other controllers? my main concern is for the mixers section.

Please ask about audio and midi drag and drop... Does this mean we can drag midi from the MPC software (in plugin mode) to our DAW, press play on the DAW and the midi notes trigger samples in the MPC software plugin? So that would imply that the MPC software will be multi-timbral? The way it's mentioned in that ad is so vague - would be great to understand what they intend.

And +1 for asking about a new flagship MPC.
