Any way to stop velocity info from transmitting to synth?

I'm using a nord lead 2x as my midi controller. The 2000xl as my sequencer. The lead doesn't have any midi velocity curve options so unless I pound on the keys the sound is always weak. (This is especially notable when sequencing to my Yamaha tx816)

Would anyone know how to disable any velocity info from getting to the tx16 from the lead?

don't know if that will help but you could try to set the MIDI volume parameter to IGNORE
