I think people get size confused with flagship, if the Touch was as Big as the Ren, would it be or not be considered flagship? Also whats with the stand alone crave , only too eventually connect it to a computer anyway, then complain about the screen, just saying.

Imo, it's grand what Akai is doing, we have different kinds of machines for different tastes all running the same "os".
I have a studio and am happy with its specs, considering whats available, i dont need a ren as i have my audio interface, for those who dont theres the ren and touch, you wana be in the vanguard, go touch screen with the super Touch, etc
It' never enough, the user will beg for more, no thing is ever perfect, theres always room for improvements, we all know that, but at the end of the day i feel obliged to show my respect and thank Akai for allowing me to do my sheet the way i do it and for making possible, for the past decades, for artists to raise, turn to inspiring references and make history and everything we all know.
Man, and the patience the developers gotta have to have to reead our bs and moaning all time.
Thank you Akai :worthy:

Well Dan officially said Touch is not the Flagship. But a filler for those waiting on Ren2. If the Touch is any indication, Ren 2 will feature touch screen as well but with arm rest, 16 qlinks and 2.0.

Glad I held out all these years because now the goods will be coming in.

you are thanking akai for making it all possible when the current akai is not the people who made the first mpc... they own the name and make the new shit they brand as mpc today....... just saying, don't be a corporate ball licker. You make your own music, no need to thank jack o'donnel for buying akai pro.

Thanks or the enlightenment brozo.
Actually I already know all that. I recognise the effort of everyone behind the development of present mpcs and pay my respect, know why? im not a presumptuous user angry because i paid and didnt get whats in the tin.
If they read my comment good, hope it gets the message thru "keep up the good work, people recognise", if its only you reading, maybe you, maybe you learn somethin about humility.
Also, think about it, why would you think a random anonymous would need to ball lick a company? what would i earn with that personally.
Wana debate semantics, if it's akai, akai pro or professional? no.
The current akai team didnt develop the 1st mpc. Thanks genius, the current Ford designers also didnt designed the 1st mustang.

I have to agree with jsf you have to give credit where credit's due. I have a lot of software/hardware gear and I can't think of another company who listens to their customers more. I remember a while back someone asked for an AD envelope and they gave it to us fairly quick. I asked for the "as played" feature from the MPC 4000 and we got that, so many features have been added that we have requested. Bottom line is when someone is doing a good job they deserve a pat on the back.

I do everything on the MP and if I want it on my computer I resample the whole thing and use a CF to usb.
