MPC 2000XL For live set

Goodevening MPC headz,

Seems like the internet has some information on using the mpc 2000xl in live sets but doesnt justify in depth.

I currently have 8 output board installed, scsi Compact flash Hot swap and a sp 404sx.
I want to be able to play all the beats i make as a live set.

I have read different posts n the internet with examples of placing whole parts of the beat on one pad and looping them.
I have also noticed that you could use a turntable to gain time in order to load next beat.

This is my problem. Loading next beat. Also individual outputs is a problem. I have noticed that my mpc does not save my INDIVIDUAL outputs when i arrange them on every beat.
So every time i load the Beat from my CF card i will have to re arrange outputs 1-8. Is there maybe a setting i am missing out here lke RECORD mix Chages and it will recall my individual outs?

I also thought want to add that i want to use my 16 mixer for the live set to use custom effects via AUX.

SO as a quick idea i thought i could be loading the eat from the SD card jam the beat towards the end jam the same preloaded beat from the SP404 sx whilst i load the next beat on the mpc.

Or start saving beats on the same projects and switching programs would be another route. Meaning i change the way i work in the studio.

I don't have any answers to your post, but I'd been keen for any tips regarding loading times etc.

I'm getting back in to the live scene now and got a gig next month. Doing a beat showcase, but this time I'll just be sequencing using my laptop, but eventually look at using my MPC 2kXL on stage. I have no idea how this will work because it takes so long to load a beat.

The only thing I thought of is while loading a beat and setting it up, have the laptop next to me playing a fill-in beat.

Honestly would just put loops of your mpc beats into the sp404 and just use the sp alone for live sets.

Or just get a dj mixer, have the sp on 1 channel and the mpc on the other and just use the cross fader to juggle between them.

Why do you suggest this? Also to clarify, by 'Beat' are we referring to a sequence? song?
If I was to save every sequence with it's own .APS wouldn't that take up a tone of space?
