I can try that but I imagine it is sending the correct power because it was working perfectly fine in v1.9.1

ahhh, ok- I missed that- s'cuse svp.

I spent a huge amount of time today speaking with Akai tech support as well as Microsoft tech support. The Akai person said he believes that it is a Windows 10 driver issue and he needed to research it and he would call me back (but he didn't), the microsoft person said he believes it is an Akai problem and suggested that I call Akai. I had also purchased a powered USB hub but that didn't help either, I am all out of ideas and feel very frustrated.

How do you feel about a complete format?

That might be the best solution eventhough I was really trying to avoid doing that. It's not just installing Windows 7 then Windows 10 that's going to be tough but it's installing Windows 7 and then installing all the updates (the computer restarting after after every few updates), then installing the Windows 10 update. Then I have to install Komplete, omnisphere, trilian, Maschine, MPC, and more. After doing all that if it still doesn't work I may just give up music altogether. Just kidding, but seriously that may be my only solution. Thanks for the suggestion.

Of course complete reformats are a last resort, and I personally find it always unacceptable. And then there is the reality that it still might not work if it is a driver issue...etc...

I am sure you have, but be sure and check with your computer manufacture and get the latest BIOS and motherboard drivers. If you have gone from a computer that was sold with Win 7 to Win 10 then there will no doubt be undated BIOS and such. I know there was for my Dell. Also be sure to check the USB drivers to be sure all is well there. What Akai is doing with the Touch's screen is IMHO quite innovative, but still a bit dicey at this point. It would seem that the whole process is fragile at this point.

I switch my Touch from PC to Mac almost every day. Every time I go from one to the other it was to go through a routine to get itself sorted. It works, but can take a minute or so to get it together....

I guess what I'm saying is to keep the options open a little longer before committing to the "digital hell" that is a complete reinstall.

I just did that last week when I did the Windows 10 upgrade again, I feel your pain. I love windows 7, and I have no issues with 8. IMO its too early for us to be forced into Windows 10 only situation.

I have found some issues with win 10 that broke some fundamental stuff.
What fixed it for me was to roll back the latest build which was in the win10 new setting area. Might be worth a try if it's automatically updated to a new build.

I appreciate everyone's help but I finally got some resolution. I called ASUS tech support and I was advised that my motherboard does not support Windows 10, and eventhough Windows 10 is installed and everything else works fine I may have instances where things do not work (the Touch). I've had this computer for a long time and it has served me well but now it's time to upgrade to a new computer. I've adopted the philosophy that you shouldn't upgrade until you can no longer do what you want to do, and I'm at that point. With that being said do anyone have any suggestions on a good computer to buy (PC/Mac, desktop/laptop). Thanks again.

IMHO, I believe swapping the mobo would be your best and cheapest option. OEMs PC's from brands (HP, Dell, you name it) don't have what it takes directly out of the box for any type of specialization. That definitely goes for Video but Audio can suffer as well. Currently you have everything you need to go to a new motherboard, except a case and power supply. (Decent Quality of both item can be had for less that $100, if you look around.) This way you can retain all of your data and keep your OS intact and files, if done properly.

I say just look into it at least.

I'm in IT by trade, so I do have a bit of bias to your situation.

Thank you everybody for your help, I've finally have the issue resolved. I'm not a computer wiz by any stretch of the mind and I have been trying to figure this problem out since v1.9.2 came out, all this time and trial/effort and what it turn out to be was my video card was not compatible, I didn't realize that when I upgraded to windows 10 that it didn't install the manufacture's drivers but a generic video driver which allowed my video card to work but left me limited and unable to use the Touch. I called micro center today and the salesperson suggested a video card that is windows 10 compatible that will work with my motherboard, it only cost $49 bucks, I don't do gaming so this works for me, now all is well. Thanks again.

That makes sense. Last night I was thinking about this the I wondered if you had checked the video card drivers. I know when I went from Win 7 to 10 I had to manually update several drivers. There was a known issue with my cheap Nvidia card. The screen was all weird until I found the updated Win 10 driver, and then all was well.

50 bucks is sure cheaper than another computer :)

Glad it's sorted out!

Yes that $50 video card save me several hundreds of dollars. Everyone kept telling me that it must be a problem with the drivers/motherboard but it didn't even occur to me to check the video card drivers, I was just about to give up and just get a new computer (actually today or tomorrow) when I thought to check the video drivers, I'm glad it worked out. Now I have the ilok problem again, I've been frustrated with ilok for the longest.
