Two Keyboards + two midi ports

Greetings all!

I am trying to use 2 keyboards on MPC1000 JJOSXL

One keyboard goes to my Modular via midi port A.
The other keyboard goes to logic to control the soft synths via midi port B

Is it possible to play the two keyboards simultaneously on two different midi ports?

I have tried all of the midi settings but at the moment cant play my Modular without playing the soft synths at the same time.

Am I after the impossible?

it's merged input, from both keyboards 1000 receives on 16channels, other words you have doubled keyboard... you can octave +/- and have soooo many keys
you would have to separate by channel - not having same channel in both of your modules. I believe is that what you mean? Which mode are you using with mpc input,16 ch or 1 ch?

try this:
multi off
offset channel 0
soft thru off

on track select 1B,
play any keyboard on any channel
does it play track 1 on port B module or what?
