Tablet apps

Yeah I went through the whole thread last night, took a while but I'm caught up, just got home from work, now just have to get everything on my iPad and start using it to learn how I can work with it I guess, can't wait, so excited I feel like I just entered a new realm of music making.

Lamp you still using BM 2?

Whats everyones favorite DAW style app for iOS? Auria Pro looks awesome, I know bm2 is good, heard good things about a couple others, honestly even garage band is nice

I bought Cubasis last year. But I might buy Auria Pro. I'm waiting to see which app will host AUs first out of the two before spending money on another DAW. I'm having more fun with Korg Gadget at the moment. It's not really a DAW. But it's more gratifying because it just works. With the current DAWs using IAA with other apps, you got to set it all up every time, which takes away from the creative flow. DAWs that host AUs save all the settings and there's no need to configure all external apps used in a project. Multitrack Studio hosts AUs. But I don't care for the interface. There's only 2 AU instruments available right now. But that number will grow. The cool thing with AUs is that you can use multiple instances of them. So it'll be nice to have several Arturia iSEMs loaded up at once. Garageband just got updated to host AUs. But only AU instruments. It doesn't support effects yet. If you have GarageBand and Arturia iSEM, experiment with it, so you see the potential of AUs when other DAWs support it.

I have the MPC Touch controlling the Synths on my iPad, and vice versa, finally got things set up the way I wanted, this is totally wild, in my mpc software I can have sunrise on track 1, sample tank track 2, imaschine track 3, iProphet track 4 and I can tweak all these synths from the iPad Pro, I'm amazed at the capabilities and possibilities now, I just opened Pandora's box for my music. I can have this app Soundprizm trigger my VST instruments like Alchemy, XPand2, Diva, kontakt, etc... I am about to go looking for an apreggiator type app or something maybe to program my own chord progressions.

niceee, I have them on my wish list, will be getting them soon. How many synths or music apps can u guys get going at once without hiccups and what iPads are you using? Anybody using iMPC? It was actually cooler than I thought and a lot of cool features. So far I'm digging all these synths, amazing they are just apps on iOS, I totally underestimated how deep these apps are.

yo, I'm thinking of getting an iPad mini 2, anyone got any issues with the mini 2?

I'm just wondering if it will run synths like Cyclops and thor well.

I have a Mini 2. It handles Thor and Cyclop with no problem. But more powerful synths like the new Moog Model 15 are a bit too much for it's processor. I'd suggest something more powerful like the iPad Pro models or even the iPad Air 2 which I believe is reduced in price.
