overlapping sound from seq 1 to seq2 mpc2000xl

Hello folk,

I first try to read the manual before I post for advice but I am stumped on this issue. Anyway, I have my drum sequence and a great violin sample on sequence 1, I copy the same pattern to seq 2 and add a new sample to seq2 but when I play from seq1 to seq2 I get the very last part of the sample from seq1 overlapping the beginning of seq2. get it? I've tried cutting off the end but that screws up the flow of my first sequence. Any advice?

2000XL? Please try to remember to put your MPC model in your posts.

Some options:

Set the pad to NOTE ON and set a duration that stops the note exactly at the end of sequence 1.

Leave it ONE SHOT but use a copy on another pad that is edited to end exactly on time.

Set 'pad play' to MONO and at the start of sequence 2 you could try setting an instance of this same pad at a velocity of 1, this should cancel out the previous hit, effectively producing instant silence (unless you have some kind of delay or reverb assigned to that pad)

Can't remember if the XL has a sequencer option setting that can stop notes from other sequences continue playing over to the next sequence, maybe a more regular XL user can help.
