I ordered the MPC Stuff PDF re: ableton and MPC, I noticed its not for Studios however I thought it may shed some light...

I can easily use my MPC as a plug in, no probs... and works fine.

But where do I look with regards to using my MPC studio as a controller for Ableton etc? and not just ths pads, but using transport buttons, etc...

That's my book, lol, mpcstuff just stock it as well. You can substitute the Studio in all the examples by using a virtual midi connection like iac on a mac. Once you've done that, the Studio is acting the same as a legacy mpc connected via a real midi cable.

Great!

I am sure I will get use out of it! However even though I bought it they didnt send any downloadable link after I purchased it :( Is that normal? (can email you proof of required?)

By the way I posted elsewhere that I was simply trying to sync ableton to master from MPC.

I went to http://www.noterepeat.com/products/akai ... leton-live

On MPC I selected Sync Tab in Preferences, and set 'send' to MTC.
I then set in the 'To' drop down MPC Studio, MPC Public option as the " AkaiPro Internal MIDI." doesnt show

Question is that correct? As in the below instructions it doesnt give the 'To' option I have...

In Ableton I followed those instructions but again it doesnt give the " AkaiPro Internal MIDI." option..

But no joy - UNLESS is has to be via a Midi Cable and not USB as it is currently attached???
