Loading and saving sequences

When I want to save sequences, should I always save as .all files or individually named? When I try to load multiple projects to play for someone the sequences always play mixed up sound banks. Why?

Programs are your sounds. Sequences are just MIDI information regarding what pads to play, for how long, when, how loud etc. They sound mixed up because you are playing sequences for one beats triggering sounds for another beat.
For my beats I save one .APS and one .ALL file per beat. when you save APS it saves all your SND files automatically. Be careful if you are using trim to truncate sounds you have to hit DO IT to discard the unwanted part of the sound, if you don't sometimes the trim won't save with the .APS

So I have made a few beats but when I load them it is difficult to know which ones to load. Is saving one master .aps file an option?

2kxl, save each project in it's own folder, along with it's own APS and ALL file.
Save a project on the root along with it's own APS and ALL and THIS project will load up upon boot.
Why, because it's in root.

Don't load multiple projects up, it's not designed for that.

If you wanna do that, lots of preparation goes into program and pad assignment allocation (working around the limits of the machine).

Thanks guys I think what I learned from both of you is folders are good ideas and don't load multiple projects. Thanks for the help

Of course you may end up with the same samples in multiple folders, it happens.

MPC cannot read across different folders, so when you load and APS, PGM, ALL, SEQ you will ONLY
be dealing with that same project folder, it's how the hardware works.

If you rename a sample file, APS will not recognize it anymore. You will have to load that sample manually.
Or change it back to it's original name...
Or resave the APS again so that it now remembers the new name you've given the sample, why
because APS will only remember the last saved names of files.
