Mono A Track?

Is it possible to mono a track?

I've chopped a break up and sequenced it out.....but i'm noticing a bit of panning in the sample now and I want to balance it between L & R without having to re-sample / re-chop / re-sequence....

any ideas anyone?

I was wondering the same thing!

It seems like you should be able to do in internal resample but there should be an easier way

Sample edit you can convert to mono L, mono R, or sum.

Am I missing something here?

I dont want to have to go back to the original sample . . . I've already spent time chopping and sequencing and i want it exactly as it is . . . . i just want it balanced

Get a plugin such as Panipulator (free) to make it mono?

In this scenario i'll run off a solo track of the sequence with my sample chops, then re-import that track as one sample into my project. Then i'll take that one sample and mono it. Boom.

I did consier that, but then if i wanted to create a sequence variation i'd have to re-chop it again anyway

I think i'll look into the plug in option and see how that goes

just wait until your ready to mix the track then make it mono or use a plug in if you have to.

I suggest Blue Cat's Freeware Bundle. It contains the Gain Suite (also seperately available) with some plug-ins I regularly use. While by loading the mono gain plug-in makes all material mono instantly, it also includes a stereo and a dual version. The dual version is especially great since you can switch it to M/S operation, which I often need for sample extraction.
