Hey,
I'm planning to sell my Machine and get a proper hardware sequencer/sampler. I have an opportunity to get MPC with JJOS2Xl for a very affordable price, but since I never ever touched an MPC I'm having a hard time to understand few things:
1) Is it possible to load a various, up to 8 min long wav samples and playback them simultaneously? Can it be done by maximising RAM?
2) Is it possible to do something like a global quantization to avoid rhythmical error when playing live? For example, if I have chopped my song in parts (intro,chorus,bridge,etc..) loaded into MPC and specified BPM, can I jump to those parts “in time”, without going out of sync?
Sorry if this is dumb dumb. I have never owned MPC, but if there is solution to do these two things, I don't have a reason to spend so much for Octatrack!
