Maybe replace the battery? There's a battery that goes bad. It's responsible for saving parameters in the machine after powering off. You can also change the bar length to 4, and save the parameters to disk. But you'll have to load from disk every time.

hey, thanks for the reply.
the battery has been replaced with 2xAA batteries two days ago. now, if i ever have to change the battery again i just have to lift up the hood and replace it with two cheap AA batteries ;) the mpc remembers my settings like the count-in parameters and so on correct. the only thing that happens is that the unit powers up with 0 bars.
already save a par. file to disk. but the result is the same. so i got no idea whats going on.

i can't edit my post, so i have to doublepost...

i got a solution for this issue, must have overlooked something. here are the steps:

1. select an unused sequence
2. press ERASE
3. press SOFTKEY2 INITIALIZE
4. setup up everything like u want
5. press SOFTKEY1 DO IT

the thread can be closed now. thanks for the replies :)
