I have jjosxl and I am learning song mode slowly
I am struggling with the manual tho it's not very well explained
What I am trying to do is have lets say 5 sequences and record track mutes to make a longer tune
Any help is appreciated

on main screen, press window on sequence name and copy it to other, make few copies. Go ahead record track mutes on each one. Than chain them in song.
Or first repeat your seqence few times to make one looong, and than record trackmutes in one pass.

BTW You can't Undo recording mutes, but you just hit Erease key in Trackmute window and Do it. This will erease all mutes from all tracks (note you can select track 00-all tracks)

you CAN erase track mutes...create a sequence, and then create an empty track and name it "mutes" or whatever you want...and then record all of your mutes..they will all be on the new empty track...you can delete all mutes at once if you do it this way

Cool thx
One more thing
In the manual it says that you can't use next sequence if recording track mutes
But if I string a few sequences together in song mode will I then be able to record the track mutes while the song plays through?
Cheers

I find it handy that you can also use overdub + stop at a time in sequence and then you can change the mutes at that time in mute screen. Its like step edit mute edit thing. So set time, go into record mode and not play and you can get your mutes exactly where you want to
