Output Shootout MPC60 vs MPC60

For the most part, they sound pretty simular..On the other hand, individual outs 2-8 on one of the mpcs has slightly more high end. It doesnt sound bad either, just a tad bit cleaner. I'll have to double check but i noticed a slight boost on the spectrum between 6-9K. Has anyone ever noticed different characters from their outputs?

ah okay.. i think i saw that you had 3 or 4 mpc60s.. so i was curious if you were flipping them or did you somehow just acquire a pile of old music gear somehow hahaha.

I have 3. I've had the 60ii since 1998. I've always wanted a 60 ver 1. So I grabbed 1 in December, it was in ruff condition. Three weeks ago I was on Craigslist and saw another ver 1 for a deal, so grabbed that one too, because it was clean. I'm going to sell 1 of them eventually.

ah okay.. yeah im running an mkii too... i do like the stock headphone jack without having to mod the thing.

The 60ii is great!! But I like the bigger screen of the of ver 1.

no... there are plenty of them.... but the fad has long and gone... and the people who aren't caught up in a fad are old enough to have other priorities.

There is an oldschool yahoo email group for the mpc60 that is still somewhat active but it isn't great in 2016... however the potential upside is if you have a very specific issue.... perhaps someone will recieve one of the chain letters in their spam folder and click on it who may know the answer to the issue.

Def not a fad for me. I was still using my 60 when the 3000 was all the rage.
