This is running 1.71 with my modded 4000... 80gb SSD, 272 mb ram, 8-out/ADAT/digital card installed... turned the CD drive in to a drawer for my USB sticks;)

I am new to Qlink use in general... right now my goal is using the Qlinks to affect the sound in more of a performance manner, as opposed to recording moves to sequences for playback.

EXAMPLE: I like using Qlink 1 and 2 to control the cutoff and resonance of my kick and snare (both on part 1 of my multi) to tweek during live performance or during recording ... I save the multi and sequence, then power off the machine. When I turn it back on... those same Qlinks won't affect those parameters at all... as if its forgetting what cutoff/resonance do.

Then I assign 3/4 to cutoff/res... still won't work. However, this doesn't seem to happen to other parameters like amplitude, pitch, etc, when I save those params to a multi and power off/on... they always seem to work no matter what track I'm on, what screen I'm looking at...

The reset and reset all control functions (f/4/f/5) don't seem to remedy this...

Regarding QLinks I also don't get why:

*Active buttons don't seem to matter whatsoever with Qlinks (whether on or off)
*I've tried just assigning the Qlink to control the Snare sound's cutoff on its particular pad, doesn't seem to work...

Can anyone tell me what global/misc. settings, techniques I need to change to do what I need to do??

Thanks---

I typed this in another post just a few minutes ago. It's how I learned what file types save what. It may take a while but it all becomes more clear with time. Please have patience and try it.

Saved "Entire Memory" to a folder.
I then powered off/on and loaded each diff file type individually and took time to go through
a bunch of menus to see what got saved and what didn't each time I loaded a file type.
I wrote it down. I knew what I was looking for because of years on 2kxl.
Took a while but after that it was easier to understand.

Been a while doing this so I don't remember every little thing.
