Hi,

disclaimer for the Thread , please overlook and jump to point: 1. ,
(beside the two running Threads in regards to my initial problems to get the thing running,
do i need to open a main thread for all my smaller questions in regards to how to work with the MPC software.
The Manual seems to be written by techs. ..............i was unlucky there on first trys..........
so please forgive me when i probably head here first .

Note: my TOUCH ( display) is not working, i just have the Software right now
1. sample management on Pads:
How do i remove a sample from the pad ?
scenario: i drag a sample to a Pad, but copy it to another Pad afterwards.
Now i want the first pad to be sample free. how do i manage this ?

2. i prelisten samples, how can i make stop playing ALL samples when i have hit some very long samples.
Mainly: how to stop ALL samples ? .........and secondly: how to stop each sample one by one ?

1. I need to uninstall the soundpacks, legacy content anyway,
how can i do this on a mac ? where should i find the files ? ( i can´t find them )

2. and how do i have to proceed to get my VSTs/FX to work.
i have 2-3 FX, i used them 2-3 years ago in reaper. otherwise i have no clue about how to proceed on a mac .
i´m used to have a VST folder ( windows )

more little Qs:

after sampling some one shot Drums:
1) do i have to save a sample first to beeing able to drag one onto a pad ? ( seemed so to me yesterday)
2) If No, how can i drag a unsaved sample to a Pad ?
3) what would be the fastest way to save a bunch of new recorded samples ?

let me explain on 3): i wanted to save a program, but i couldn´t make a new folder named *Programs* to save just a programm inside,
so i had to save a whole project.

@dustymaestro, thanks for the reminder . though i have hard times to watch those. so i move slowly
the manual was no big help so far......

Check out my MPC Software tutorial book, lots of structured help in the form of step-by-step tutorials.

And yes you can drag an unsaved sound to a pad (no trick to this), and you can save a program independently of saving the project, just right click on the program name in the Project Info panel and select 'Save'.

Fastest way to save newly recorded samples is to just save the entire project.
