I hate when they don't include the list.

Isn't it funny now that they are close to a 2.0 paid update they are doing all these 1.9. something updates. Where were all these multiple bug fix updates in the past?

To be honest - look at the release notes over time. Akai has been churning out new releases every few months, some with some major features and capabilities. It's crazy when you compare to Maschine that has REALLY been lagging. Software is hard, especially music software where every release could break workflow, projects, plugins, etc.

agreed. there is not much reason they couldnt tell us "we're done- if you want more, buy 2.0"- I appreciate the fact they keep trying to make the product better.

1.9.3 was cool but it did seem very buggy slowing down my workflow here and there, glad they are on those bug fixes and focusing on improving stability and finalizing the software before they call it quits and move on to 2.0

I don't imagine "calling it quits" would make a lot of sense, though. 2.0 is not an entirely new beast. It's basically what you're working with now, with additional features. They rebuilt the audio engine w/ 1.9.... For all you know, a lot of what's happening w/ 1.9.4 is helping smooth the path to 2. Optimizing code, etc., in advance, to help manage 2.0 implementation. Better to nail small bugs, a few at a time, by coding 2.0 assets into 9.4 / 9.5, etc., than to run the risk of an avalanche of unforeseen s*** by waiting until release time to introduce a gang of new code.

Indeed, by the time 2.0 drops, you may be doing little more than "unlocking" new features in your existing 1.9x version, that are already there, laying dormant until you pony up the $100.

Firstly, as someone with beta portal access I can assure you every release so far has had many, many bug fixes, as indicated in pretty much every single release note so far ('many bug and stability fixes'). They don't just put that there for fun.

Secondly, surely it's a good thing that they are ramping up the stability fixes before a paid release? Some people won't want to pay for the update, so they should be left with a stable product running 1.9.x. What we don't want is the Adobe model of upgrades, where most bug fixes are only available by purchasing the next major version.

I also hope that even when 2.0 is released they'll continue to provide bug fixes for the 1.9.x line.

Akai been doing good job with the ren so far no complains here, real time stretch/elastic audio, audio tracks and audio clips(ableton style) would make my day

Just imagine it's an MPC so powerful, that it's processor is contained in a breakout unit.
