Use Ren on 2 pc's?

hi my ren works on my pc but when i try to use the laptop it wants the serial code and i use the same code as pc but it says no valid, any advice? thanks

Works for me -- I use the Studio on my laptop and desktop.

you can install mpc ren in 3 computers if im not mistaken. you get a diferent code everytime. after that you have to contakt akai so they can reset them if im not mistaken

As long as your software registry is right it will work.

Is it possible to extract the registry keys telling the hardware that it is already registered and applying it to another workstation? Or does Akai require you to have online access every time you use the controller?

They told me yesterday over a support call that the software can be activated 4 times. The same thing happened to me as the OP and a call fixed it, they reset my activations to 0. I submitted an email dayyys ago & got tired of waiting so I called AKAI support. Phone: 401.658.4032

You can run the Akai software from a Time Capsule backup. It will see it as the initial install. Not as a new install.
