That sounds like a great idea. I am thinking of something like a Intel Galileo board, Raspberry Pi 2 . I say so because these boards run windows.

someone did something like that with maschine and added a cpu inside to create a standalone maschine, dope ass idea.

Balanced IP/OP always. RCA won't cut it in a studio environment. Cool prototype for bedroom labs though

Google search "standalone maschine" hit the images tab and u will see pics of the insides, its just a gutted laptop and a NI soundcard inside.

That's an amazing idea!

Throw a mac mini in there and you have a standalone ren! Not super practical but a great idea!

i've opened mine to install fat pads.while still in warranty 2 q links were replaced, and when i've opened it i saw that the plastic columns (the ones holding the bottom plate) were broken.now the guys from the store say that it was probably shipped like that.anyone else opened up their gear for the first time to see this?

then i modified the ren stock pads a bit and installed them in the studio and it looks fatter than any pads i've ever seen.i can only imagine how fat would ren fat pads look on the studio. its doable, i'll try to upload the pics or link to the video
