Just because the flash is capable of having that many re-writes does that mean you should go buck wild on it. There are still chances that one of the times you decide to re-write the flash corruption occurs, or some other fault that'll render your MPC useless.

If I were in your situation and dependent on both OS's, I would buy a second MPC and have it used for OS3 or OS2, whatever you want. It's not as if they're expensive.

Damn... I hope i'll be lucky. I do not often change , i just use the OS2 and the extra audio play ( timestretching a sample with the Q-links : http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/os2/extra.htm ).
I'd like this feature to be on the JJOS3. Maybe one day ? :-D

Do you realize how f*cking stupid you sound right now?

Have you never read threads about upgrade failures? Switching back and forth failures? What a nv flash is rated at in the lab does not always guarantee total elimination of a bricked device. It's more than apparent that you have no understanding of how flash works at the hardware level. Flashing still relies on a software based engine, which can fail - coincidentally, JJ himself even has no guarantee there won't be a brick so there is that too.

You're the one spreading bullsh*t by encouraging him to keep doing what he's doing. What is that beer going to do for him if he bricks his MPC? Does he happen to have access to a hot air rework station to remove the surface mount intel flash, reprogram it with a stand alone flash programmer, and drag solder it back to recover his bricked unit? Or are you going to do that for him?

Suggesting a safer alternative or offering my input on a forum is what a forum is all about.

I can see that as I've explained myself with actual technical basis and you don't want to hear it.

Go back to your other depressed thread and figure out some "bug fixes" for your own life.

Dude are u boring? me not, but listen. Does your technical explanation matters if with my experience I literally sh1t on it? think again. Please, don't mix threads from other unrelative forums, as I don't have time walking after you, like you do. LOL you find me atractive? huh?

Sure, I love b*tches and you fit the profile perfect.

Your experience seems to be to the extent of downloading an OS rom and updating it. That does not quite equate you sh*tting on or invalidating what I've had to say. All it shows is that you know how to upgrade JJ OS and copy and paste bug fix information from his site to here -- not that you're "wrong" for your ignorance, it's just ironic that you are doing the same thing that you were complaining about others doing in your depressed thread.

By your logic, I should format my hard drive and reinstall my OS every time I want to do a feature the newer OS cannot do. Anyway, good luck to you.
