Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

hi everyone
i've been working with the mpc2000xl for several years now:smoker:
but i have never made the step into a music production software.so i'm really a beginner in music software. i want to record the music from the mpc on my mac.what would be a nice music software to start with..?
i was thinking about cubase le.

what are your suggestions...?

yeah sure... that works or maybe audacity (since it is free on their website) .. but you may need to buy an audio interface to get it done properly.

Personally I like Cubase. I have Cubase Elements 8 which is 100 euros and its pretty much enough for what i do. It has a few limitation though. Try the demo and see if it fits you. Maybe you should also look around in recording studios in your area and ask what they use. It can be really useful if you can be compatible with the people around you. You can also learn from them which is another good reason. We mostly use Cubase here.
