Hello,
Just bought myself an MPC 1000 and have been trying to use it as a sequencer / brain for my other synths and drum machines. The three synthesisers I am currently using are, the Roland JP8000, Roland TR8 drum machine and the Cyclone Analogic TT-303 Bass Bot. But can't seem to get it worked out, I'm hoping to be able to record chords and melodies from my JP8000 into the MPC via midi then have the MPC automate those patterns and play them via midi on the JP8000. Whilst just sending a start/stop signal to my TR8, which is daisy chained to the TT303.
JP8000 -midi out->
MPC 1000 -midi out> TR8 -midi out-> TT303 bass bot
Jp8000 <-midi in-
I've tried just about every combination of setting in the MPC sync section, but to no avail. I just don't know how to set this up, or where to go from here really. At the moment, with both no slave or master set my JP8000 is playing the TR8's drum kit via the MPC....
Can anyone out there lend a hand? Thanks again.
