i'm not sure if this problem is JJ OS, my pad upgrade kit, or something else..
MPC 1000 with JJOS 3.48
Basically, PAD 4 is playing up. For a while, it wouldn't play when i tapped it, so I stopped assigning sounds to that pad. Then I Reinitialised the mpc, and now the pad works ok, but i need to hit it harder than the others to get a sound. Also, it is now being randomly triggered when I hit PAD 2!
I found installing the pad upgrade kit very cumbersome - the cord that is in the mpc, as well as the cord that comes with the kit barely reaches the connection point of the upgrade kit - which is so weird, as there is plenty of space that AKAI had to use to make the connection point closer.
Can anyone tell whether this issue sounds like its the operating system or the kit?
