mpc2000xl / hooking up a microphone

hi guys...

how do i hook up a microphone to the mpc2000xl so could record some sounds over the mic into the mpc....??
i have bought the persons audio box where i can hook up the mic but i don't know how to record sounds into the mpc.....

I think you need to download the manual (look up at the top of the screen for the menu called MPC resources)

i've downloaded the tutorial and i can't find the place where they explain how to hook up a microphone....

isn't it possible to record from the microphone while the beat is playing...??
