Slicing more than one loop from a song into same program.

Hello! Ok, I feel like I'm missing a step or two, this is infuriating. What I want to do (if possible) is to be able to take more than one sample from the same song, and put them all into one program. I start by extracting a loop, then I chop it, then create a new program using pad parameters, no problem. Then what I'd like to do is extract another sample & chop it with lazy chop, then put those slices in the same program, probably on the next bank. What I have been able to do is create a new program from the new sample/chops then combine them. However, it switched my previous chops from bank A to bank B, ruining my sequences because the wrong slices were playing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

just extract or load up your individual samples without creating a new program and manually load into a pgm....not that difficult. The time spent crafting your post, you coulda been done already.

mpc187 makes making pgm quick too.

if I understand this correctly you have a sample, do first pass chopping it, convert it into a program then you wanting to go back to the same sample with lazy chop feature and get those chops in the original program that you made but find out it's screwing up your initial chops?

I've ran into similar situation where I wanted to create two different programs using the same sample and found out my second program was altering my first program chops.

what I been doing is creating sample replica and creating brand new program or extract as dcook79 mentioned, the parts from the sample and assign them manually to the pads of the original program

Thanks guys. I knew it was going to be a "DUH" moment. I get even dumber when I'm frustrated. I'm not close to my MPC right now but I'm already kinda picturing how to do it. Thanks for helping me get over my brain block. Just extract new samples & manually assign them. Cool.

I requested years ago that when converting your slices, in addition to the "create program", there was a "add to program" option where you just select the program and pad to start on and it adds all your slices starting at that pad.

Not a big deal to manually assign a bunch of samples, obviously but this would save me a lot of time...

I hope this helps because you have several way to do this:

1. you can record the whole sample then set your markers in sample edit to parts of the sample you would like to take out by using the Process - Delete function in sample edit. Then add your chops and create one program.

2. you can take the extracted samples (larger part you have extracted) then add them to a program. Create a loop with each extracted sample you would like. Then use the new audio export feature then drag the exported audio to your sample area creating a new audio sample of your loop (the name will be track#). Then go into sample edit to chop again and create a new program with the chops in order.

3. Long steps, but works for creating one progam out of multiple programs. I did this with the MPC trap kits, so now I have all the kits in one program.

Lazy chop then stop and start as needed which is creating new programs and saving them.
Then create a loop using a new Sequence and the first new program
Repeat with second sequence and second new program (continue as needed)
Now create a song in song mode and convert to a new sequence.
With the new converted song export the audio using the export audio feature then chop
