Post your views and questions about the Akai MPC2500

Hello.

After puting the top panel of my mpc in order to check the data encoder, it's now very hard to turn the data wheel. It's very close to the panel.

So I wonder if anybody has a solution. It's vey strange because I put the panel properly, with the hole in front of the screws, etc ...

this happened to me when I was replacing the rubber pads(black) you need to place the wheel trial and error I say i did this several times until the wheel fell right...i did this several times by rotating the wheel then placing the case over and over and over until the damn data wheel fell in it's comfortable factory position...wierd but there seems to be a g spot that's what I call it haha! peace homeboy

That's right, there's some notches and ribs in the data wheel cap that determine the position it has to go in. If you don't hit them right, the top panel will not fit because the cap sits too high.

Thank you good sir, this was frustrating! It is not obvious, but awesome when you get it back in place correctly!
