MPC 2000 RAM/Sampling question

Alright i got a question about MPC 2000's RAM and sampling time. When it says 2mb RAM does that mean that i can only load up 20secs of sounds off a zip/floppy or does it mean i can only sample 20secs of a song from a turntable hooked to the mpc?

that is only in mono homie...in stereo it is 11 secs....rock the 2mb for a while you might like it.....might open the creative book
